SUMMARY:Proton National Tour by MPO - Cash Prize Tournament in Daytona Beach
DESCRIPTION:May 30\, 2026 – May 31\, 2026\n\n\nRegister Here!\n\n\n\nTournament Description\n\n\nProton National Tour ⚛️ | Powered by Match Point Open\n💰Don’t miss your chance to compete for your share of the $30\,000 cash prize pool!💰\n\nThe Proton National Tour is pickleball’s premier cash prize tournament\, welcoming both amateurs and pros to compete for the largest cash payouts in the game. We have Doubles\, Singles\, and Mixed for all skill levels!\n\n\n\nFORMAT OF PLAY\n\n\nDoubles divisions start with round-robin pool play. The top teams from each pool then play in a single-elimination bracket. The format of these games are: \n\n\n\n\nRound-Robin (Pool Play): Score to 15\, win by 2\n\n\n\n\nQuarter-Finals and Semi-Finals: Score to 15\, win by 2\n\n\n\n\nMedal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games – score to 11\, win by 2\n\n\n\n\n\nSingles divisions start with round-robin pool play. The top players from each pool then compete in a single-elimination bracket. The format of these games are: \n\n\n\n\nRound-Robin (Pool Play): Score to 11\, win by 1\n\n\n\n\nQuarter-Finals and Semi-Finals: Score to 15\, win by 1\n\n\n\n\nMedal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games – score to 11\, win by 2\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSKILL DIVISIONS\n\nThe Proton National Tour will report scores to DUPR for all divisions in this event.\n\nEach doubles division\, besides Open\, will have two DUPR caps:\n\n1) Team Average Cap: The combined DUPR ratings of both partners\, divided by two\, must be below the “Team Avg” specified for that division. For instance\, if a 3.0 bracket requires a team average under 3.5\, a 3.2 + 3.6 = 6.8 total\, divided by two\, gives an average of 3.4—qualifying for the 3.0 bracket.\n\n2) Individual Player Cap: Each player’s DUPR rating must remain under the “No Player Over” limit listed for the division. In the above example\, if one partner’s DUPR is 3.8\, it exceeds the 3.75 cap for the 3.0 division\, so that team would have to register for 3.5 instead.\n\nNote: All DUPR scores are calculated out to 3 digits\, per DUPR standards.\n\nEach player over age 50 will receive a 0.25 DUPR reduction applied to their team average\, after the average is calculated. The 0.25 reduction also applies to each player’s individual cap that is over the age of 50.\n\nOpen divisions have no DUPR cap and are intended for the highest-level competitors. Men’s Singles Challenger division has a hard DUPR cap of below 4.25\, while the Open division has no cap.\n\nNot Rated players: If your partner in a doubles event has an NR DUPR rating (no DUPR history)\, Proton National Tour will use the rated partner’s DUPR rating as the average. If both players have no DUPR\, please select “Contact Tournament” and send a message with you and your partner’s information so the tournament director can help determine your division.\n\n\n\nDUPR REVIEW\n\nThe Proton National Tour tournament director will review DUPR scores and win/loss history. Our team conducts DUPR reviews at registration close (all teams not in compliance will be moved after registration close). We do NOT lock your DUPR rating upon sign-up. We reserve the right to move players between skill brackets based on this data. DUPR scores will change as the players participate over the weekend in multiple events\, we do not continually re-evaluate DUPR scores after the final check on registration close.\n\nWe require players to compete with integrity in the correct skill division; sandbagging is strictly prohibited. However\, players may choose to compete at a higher skill level if they wish. The tournament director reserves the right to assign or reassign any player to a minimum skill division based on their prior performance history.\n\n\n\nDRAW NOTICE\n\nYour draw may change up until the player meeting 30 minutes before the division starts. DUPR compliance reviews\, late registrations\, and last-minute cancellations can all cause changes in the initial draw for your event.\n\n\n\nLATE PARTICIPANTS\nIf a player shows up more than 15 minutes late to their division start\, their match may be logged as a forfeit. We cannot delay division starts for a single player\, so you may be removed from your pool entirely if you are late.\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\nPRELIMINARY SCHEDULE\nSaturday 5/30\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Men’s Doubles 3.5\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Men’s Doubles 4.5\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Women’s Doubles 4.0\n🔹 11:30am – 4:30pm: Women’s Doubles 4.5\n🔹 11:30am – 4:30pm: Men’s Doubles 2.5\n🔹 12:00pm – 5:00pm: Women’s Doubles 3.5\n🔹 1:00pm – 6:00pm: Women’s Doubles 3.0\n🔹 2:00pm – 7:00pm: Men’s Doubles 4.0\n🔹 4:00pm – 9:00pm: Men’s Doubles 5.0+\n\nSunday 5/31\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Mixed Doubles 3.0\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Mixed Doubles 3.5\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Mixed Doubles 4.5\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Seniors Doubles 3.0\n🔹 9:00am – 2:00pm: Seniors Doubles 4.0\n🔹 11:00am – 4:00pm: Mixed Doubles 4.0\n🔹 12:00pm – 5:00pm: Men’s Doubles 3.0\n🔹 12:00pm – 5:00pm: Seniors Doubles 3.5\n🔹 2:30pm – 7:30pm: Men’s Singles Amateur\n🔹 3:45pm – 8:45pm: Men’s Singles Challenger\n🔹 4:30pm – 9:00pm: Men’s Singles Open\n\nNOTE: You can register for any combination of events that you qualify for\, as long as their times do not overlap.\n\n\n\nDIVISIONS\n🔹 Men’s Doubles (2.5\, 3.0\, 3.5\, 4.0\, 4.5\, 5.0+)\n🔹 Women’s Doubles (3.0\, 3.5\, 4.0\, 4.5)\n🔹 Mixed Doubles (3.0\, 3.5\, 4.0\, 4.5\, 5.0+)\n🔹 Men’s Singles Amateur (Under 3.25 DUPR)\n🔹 Men’s Singles Challenger (Under 4.25 DUPR)\n🔹 Men’s Singles Open (No DUPR Cap)\n🔹 Men’s 50+ Doubles Senior Division (3.0\, 3.5\, 4.0)\n🔹 Women’s 50+ Doubles Senior Division (3.0\, 3.5\, 4.0)\n\n\n\nMINIMUM REGISTRATIONS\n\nIf a division doesn’t meet the minimum registration requirement\, it may be canceled without affecting the payouts for other divisions.
